The News and Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina signed an agreement with DynAccSys for reverse publishing using Virtual AdTaker's newest application .Celebrations. plus an old favorite .Obituaries.. The newspapers plan to launch the application in May 2005. The newspapers will provide web access for placement of wedding, engagement, anniversary, and birth announcements from their web site. Part of the Virtual AdTaker suite of products, Celebrations enables families to easily build their own announcement on-line, preview and proof it complete with photo(s), make changes, and submit them to the newspaper on a 24/7 basis as a newsprint ready PDF. The newspaper will be able to review the notice for compliance with their internal requirements and make necessary changes. The families will be able to pay for their announcement on line. In addition, the Virtual AdTaker application for Obituaries will be launched at a later date. Obituaries are entered on-line by the mortuaries and reviewed by the newspaper on a 24x7 basis via a web interface.
