ASP Westward, LP signs an agreement with Virtual AdTaker for Web to Print/Web applications for both Obituaries and Social Announcements.

DENVER, CO - Virtual AdTaker and ASP Westward, LP, publisher of the Houston Community Newspapers and the Colorado Community Newspapers, signed an agreement for reverse publishing Obituaries and Social Announcements.

Virtual AdTaker’s Obituary application provides ASP Westward’s community newspapers the ability to offer their mortuaries and funeral homes access online to create, proof and submit their obituaries for print and web.  This is the publisher’s first entry into free death notices and paid obituaries from the funeral homes and out of area consumers for its 35 Texas publications, 13 Colorado publications and more than 45 web sites.

Through Virtual AdTaker’s social announcement application ASP Westward’s community newspapers will offer online creation of social announcements for print and web including www.ImportantOccasions.com. Offering Virtual AdTaker’s solution for social announcements will provide state of the art capabilities in this ever-emerging category.  Encouraging families and individuals to celebrate life events by creating announcements for the newspaper, the newspaper’s web site, and the national web site, ImportantOccassions.com, is an important initiative for ASP Westward.

ImportantOccasions.com provides a unique forum for individuals, couples and families to post their wedding, engagement, anniversary, birthday and other social announcements to a national website, through their local newspaper. Consumers wishing to announce their event can create, proof, pay and submit their announcement online. They can also add a photo gallery, view and print their private guestbook. Visitors to the site can sign the guestbook; send a gift and view a photo gallery or guest book.

ASP Westward can manage the application through Virtual AdTaker’s administration and reporting tools.

Virtual AdTaker’s In Column reverse publishing applications, including Obituaries, Important Occasions, Legal Notices, Auto, Employment, Real Estate, Merchandise, and others, were developed to provide both private party and commercial customers the tools to easily build their own image rich ads online for print and the web.
